Garaga has been awarded an Honorable Mention prize for its community involvement

May 3rd 2017

At the most recent Beauce Business Gala, held April 29, Michel Gendreau and his two sons Martin and Maxime, were awarded the Honorary Mention Award by the St-Georges Chamber of Commerce for their involvement in the St-Georges area.

Awarded by the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce, this prize recognizes a member company from its network who stands out in the business community. The achievements of the winning company attest to its commitment, integrity, collaboration and sense of innovation.

It should be noted that Michel Gendreau was involved at the honorary president of the 2016 International Symposium of Sculpture of Saint-Georges. Started 3 years ago, this annual event has led to the creation of a permanent location for sculptures in St-Georges, constituting a must-see cultural heritage. In 2024, there will be 100 large sculptures placed in downtown St-Georges.

On another front, Martin and Maxime Gendreau were co-chairs of a fund raising campaign for the Fondation de l’hôpital Beauce-Etchemin, a local foundation whose mission is to improve the quality of regional health care and services, which raised more than $ 700,000 for the health of children served by the hospital.

As Mr. Michel Gendreau says "It is good to receive from your community, but it is also important to know how to give back to the same community". Congratulations to Michel, Martin and Maxime Gendreau.
