Ideally based in Bemidji, MN, and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer in Canada, as a Controller, you will lead the accounting and financial control function of one or our plants in the USA, located in Minnesota.
JOB SUMMARY:
- Starting date: As soon as possible
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Regular Hours of Work: 40 hrs./ week, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

OUR CONTROLLER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead month-end and quarter-end processes
- Contribute to forecasts and ensure proper assumptions for each scenario
- Procure value added profitability analysis and plan to meet yearly budget
- Participate in the budget process
- Ensure compliance through best practices
- Collaborate and lead external service providers for tax and audit purposes
- Identify opportunities for improvement
- Implement and follow-up on KPIs
- Support ad hoc projects
- Support business partners and other controllers when necessary
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR OUR CONTROLLER POSITION
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, specialized in accounting or equivalent combination
- CPA designation (cherry on top)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3 years experience in a supervision role
