To support our growth, we are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Technician to join our Finance team.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Lead, you will take charge of the full payables cycle: verifying and coding invoices, reconciling statements, and preparing payments to suppliers. You'll also be part of the adventure as we implement our ERP and automate accounts payable. Does that sound like you? We can't wait to meet you!

  • Remote/On-site: Hybrid (3 days per week at the Barrie office)
  • Work location: 333 Bayview Dr, Barrie, ON L4N 8X9
  • Work schedule: Full-time, day shift, Monday to Friday

Role and responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Technician:

  • Verify and code supplier invoices
  • Enter invoices into the system
  • Manage the accounts payable email inbox for one or more partners
  • Ensure resolution of issues related to incorrect invoices
  • Reconcile statements of account
  • Prepare supplier payments according to required deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls in place
  • Respond to various information requests from internal or external stakeholders
  • Validate and record expense accounts and credit cards
  • Rebill affiliated companies
  • Participate in the ERP implementation project and accounts payable automation

Required qualifications for our Accounts Payable Technician:

  • AEC or DEC in Accounting and Management Techniques, or relevant experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in accounts payable
  • Experience with an ERP system is an asset
  • Experience in a multi-site, multi-company environment is an asset
