Reporting to the General Manager and guided day-to-day by the Warehouse Lead, you’ll help receive, store, and ship materials with accuracy and care. From monitoring inventory to upholding safety standards, your work ensures everything runs smoothly and on time.   • Salary: Hourly - To be discussed (based on experience)
  • Work hours: 40-hour work week (Monday to Friday)
  • Job status: Permanent
  • Work shift: Day
    • Weekend and Evening availability when needed
    • Out of Town availability when needed for product deliveries

As a Warehouse Team Member, you will:

Team Leadership:

  • Follow direction from warehouse lead to help coordinate daily warehouse tasks and responsibilities, including order pickers, forklift operators, and material handlers
  • Assist to allocate tasks and resources effectively to meet productivity and deadline targets
  • Help when required to train, mentor, and evaluate team members to ensure performance and engagement

Inventory Control & Organization:

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and inventory tracking
  • Assist with storage methods to optimize space and product safety
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing stock to prevent shortages, overages, or misplacements

Shipping & Receiving Operations:

  • Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and receipt
  • Verify the accuracy and condition of goods upon arrival and prior to dispatch
  • Ensure proper documentation and labeling of all materials

Quality Assurance:

  • Help Warehouse Lead implement and uphold quality control standards to ensure product accuracy and condition
  • Ensure materials prepared for pick up and deliveries meet required specifications

Safety & Compliance:

  • Follow and maintain all workplace health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Daily inspect and report risks associated with equipment operation and materials handling
  • Ensure warehouse operations comply with local and national safety and labor regulations

Process Improvement & Reporting:

  • Analyze warehouse performance and identify areas for operational improvement
  • Help implement procedures to improve workflow, reduce costs, and enhance accuracy
  • Provide regular reports on warehouse activity, issues, and proposed solutions to management

Equipment Maintenance & Use:

  • Participate in the safe operation and upkeep of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment
  • Assist if needed, to coordinate repairs and track equipment inventory

Internal & External Communication:

  • Maintain strong coordination with operations, purchasing, and customer service teams
  • Serve as a point of contact for carriers, drivers, and other logistics partners
  • Facilitate the smooth exchange of information and resolve issues as they arise

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven leadership and team coordination skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Knowledge of inventory control methods and warehouse management tools (WMS)
  • Forklift operation and equipment maintenance experience
  • Solid understanding of occupational health and safety standards
  • Effective communication and reporting abilities

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (logistics or operations training is an asset)
  • 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, including team supervision
  • Valid forklift certification required
  • Valid driver's license and 5yr drivers abstract
  • Experience in construction supply or garage door industry (preferred)
