Does the name Frank Lloyd Wright ring a bell? He was an American architect (1867-1959) whose ideas of open floor plans and organic architecture have continued to today. At the time, in the early to mid-1900s, he was a pioneer, designing residences with low-pitched roofs, overhanging eaves and long horizontal lines. This style, known as Prairie School, was also characterized by multiple sets of vertical windows to let in lots of natural light with gridlines that mirrored the frames. They were building that blended in with nature, living in harmony with the environment.
Today, we can notice a return to these modern and contemporary designs. How can this be reflected in current garage trends? Here are some photos to show how Wright’s architectural style can be applied to contemporary homes, especially to garages.
