Garaga launches a new garage door

April 1st 2005

Garaga proudly announces the launch of its first steel carriage-house-style door from their Townships Collection. The North Hatley, from Garaga, reflects one of the latest architectural trends on the market. It blends the classic charm and elegance of old-style swinging doors with the durability and sturdiness of polyurethane-insulated sectional doors.

Recalling the nostalgia of the 50's, it comes with traditional black, stamped-steel hinge and handle hardware that has a forged-iron look. A wide variety of window designs and the appeal of its traditional motifs are sure to enhance the beauty and value of a home.

It is built similarly to our "Standard":

  • 26-gauge galvanized steel, baked-on polyester paint
  • Pressure-injected polyurethane foam, R-16 insulation factor
  • Available in 5 colours: Ice White, Desert Sand, Claystone, Metro Brown and the all new Dark Sand
  • Sizes available: standard only
  • Window options: "Orion", "Printing Process", "Grooved", and "Plastic Inserts"
  • Lifetime warranty (limited)

The aesthetics of the "North Hatley" door will enhance the beauty and value of a home. It has the style of yesteryear with its decorative hinges and handles just like old-style swinging doors.

The "North Hatley" compliments your home with a truly unique look. A wide variety of window designs can be added to allow light to enter the garage. This door can be personalized by adding Glue Chip Glass windows like our Orion model or enhanced with exterior plastic inserts.

This new design, which greatly appeals to homeowners, has reached us after gaining popularity in the US over the past 5 years. Mr. Michel Gendreau, president of Garaga, can vouch for its uniqueness, "The North Hatley has been created with the strength and durability of steel in place of traditional wood, thereby lowering the cost and requiring far less maintenance".

Garaga doors have always been at the forefront and recognized in the industry for their exceptional quality and reliable operation. This new addition goes beyond simple practicality and adds richness and beauty.

Gone are the days where a garage door merely opened and closed. Today, this product plays an important role in the Design Build sector. "The consumer has a growing need to stand out. They want their home to be unique, not like their next-door neighbour's. "We're keeping the style of the carriage house door without the expensive cost and care needed for traditional wood doors.' says Mr. Michel Gendreau. The "North Hatley" will appeal to baby boomers as it recalls the nostalgia of the 50's. The door comes with traditional black, stamped-steel hinges and handles

With its ISO 9001-2000 certification, Garaga sets the highest quality standards. Their manufacturing processes are second to none in the industry. For example, the injected polyurethane foam used between the steel layers of each door makes them lightweight while providing maximum insulation and sturdiness. Combine a Garaga door with a professional installation and you'll get the last garage door that your home will ever need.
